What methods of payment do you accept?

Payment is securely handled by Paypal. You can pay with your credit card or funds from your Paypal account. You do NOT need to have a Paypal account to pay, but they are quite easy to set up should you choose to do so.

If you would like to pay via bank deposit, please send an email to enquire@thehandmadestore.com.au and we will send you an invoice with payment details.

We do not accept cheques or money orders.

Are all your items handmade?

The Handmade Store stocks items that are either entirely or partially handmade. There is a small number of items that are not handmade but are unique and intended for your own  handmade projects. Please read through each item description for more information.

Items that are 100% handmade may vary slightly from one to the next. This is the beauty and appeal of handmade wares, it is not a fault or flaw. Each item is unique and special.

What is your return/refund policy?

We want you to be 100% happy with our service and products and will accept most returns at our discretion if they are in the original packaging and original condition. Please email enquire@thehandmadestore.com.au withing 5 days of receiving your purchase. You will be responsible for sending the goods back to us. Once we receive the items we will refund you the original purchase price minus shipping costs.

All orders are thoroughly checked and carefully packaged by us, however if your items arrive damaged please email enquire@thehandmadestore.com.au as soon as possible and no later than 5 days after receiving your purchase. We will require a photo of the damaged item to be sent to us. We will then either refund you the original purchase price or send you a replacement if the damage is due to poor packaging.

We will not accept returns for items that are delayed by the postal service as this is not something we have control over. If you require your items by a certain date, we strongly recommend choosing the Express Post option at check-out and leaving us a note in the Comments box so that we are aware the order is urgent.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship within Australia. If you are located overseas and are interested in our products, please contact us at enquire@thehandmadestore.com.au and let us know what you are after and we will see what we can do for you.

What type of shipping do you offer?

We use Australia Post to send parcels and you have the option of either Standard Post or Express Post. We highly recommend choosing the Express Post option if your purchase is urgent, fragile or high in value as these parcels will get to you faster and can be tracked.

Please be aware that Standard Post cannot be tracked and can take up to 10 days to reach you.

The Handmade Store will not assume any responsibility for lost or delayed parcels.

When will my order be delivered?

We cannot guarantee delivery dates. Australia Post guarantees next day delivery through their Express Post network to certain postcodes, but it is up to you to check if your postcode falls within this network. If you choose Standard Post at check out, we cannot track it nor can we guarantee delivery.

Most orders will ship out the day after we receive payment confirmation. Orders received Friday, Saturday or Sunday will ship out either Monday or Tuesday the following week depending on volume.

We cannot ship orders the same day they are received. If you need your items by a certain date, we strongly recommend you choose the Express Post option at check-out and leave us a note in the Comments box so that we are aware it is urgent.

Please note that Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter and Sale times get very busy and there may be shipping delays.

What type of packaging do you use?

Utmost care is taken with all our packaging. We make every effort to use recycled or environmentally friendly packaging materials whenever possible.

Can my  purchase be gift-wrapped?

Yes! If your purchase is a gift and you would like us to wrap it for you, please let us know in the comments box at checkout.

If you would like part of the items in your order to be packaged separately or gift-wrapped, please also let us know in the comments box at checkout. All items will be sent in one shipment to one address. If you would like your items to be shipped to more than one address, please place separate orders.

Can I order a customised item?

In some instances, yes. Please email your requirements to enquire@thehandmadestore.com.au and we will see what we can do for you.

Are my personal details safe?

The Handmade Store keeps all your information private and will not pass your details onto a third party.

PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL).

General terms of use

All content on this website including images, logos, page text, etc, is owned by The Handmade Store. It may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, or otherwise exploited for any purpose without our express written consent. Product images may be used without explicit permission for promotion of The Handmade Store but never for any other purpose.
